Christening Card

Evening everyone, how is your week going so far? Mines a little full and busy, but that's good.

Thought I would share with you the little card I made for Owen's Christening that we went to a couple of Sunday's ago. This stamp set is so cute and I loved colouring the images in with the Stampin Write Markers.

Stamp Set: Bundle of Love
Card Stock: Bashful Blue and Whisper White
Punch: 3/4" Circle & Designer Label Large
Ribbon: Marina Mist Taffeta
Stampin Write Markers

Here's Leanne with baby and family by the font.

I love this picture, either Chris is very very tall (which he is) or May and Leanne are very small :-)

Another busy weekend ahead, as we are taking Chris to look round Bolton University this weekend. Still can't believe my "little" boy is ready for Uni, where has the time gone?

Thanks for stopping by

Fast & Fabulous

Good morning, hope everyone is well.

Yesterday was my craft class and we used the beautiful Level 2 Hostess Set Fast & Fabulous. And the afternoon certainly went fast and, I think, it was fabulous.

I decided to not focus on cards as such for the project and went with this wonderful tissue box cover. The little card is made with the left overs (nothing goes to waste!).

Lucy giving her mum some advice on colour ways!

And this is what she suggested - using opposite patterns on the lid

Michelle's neutral colour version

A few together

Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Perfect Plum, Early Espresso,
DSP: Woodland Walk
Stamp Set: Fast & Fabulous, Because I Care (for the sentiment)
Punch: Scallop Trim Border & Corner
Basic Pearls

Michelle made us a gorgeous strawberry sponge cake, but we were so keen to get tucked in I forgot to take a photo. Trust me it was fab. Thank you!

Also thanks to my lovely ladies - it wouldn't be the same class without you.

Would you like to join us at one of our classes? In each pack you will get 1/2 pack of 12x12 Designer Series Paper, A4 card stock, accessory (depending on the project), use of stamp sets inks and basic tool box items. In addition there is always a free raffle prize to be won!

And you always have an afternoon of fun :-)

Thanks for stopping by and hope to hear from you.

Regional Training Swaps

Hi there, sorry for not posting recently, but it has been an extremely busy work week.

I promised last week I would be back with the swaps I got at Regional Training. Well, I might be a little late, but here they are.

I've got another class today. Something a little different for today's project. Hope the ladies like it. Will let you know tomorrow with photos of the project.

Hope you are all keeping well. I've got quite a few busy weekends coming up as Chris has had invites to look at Bolton and Stafford Universities.

Will try and squeeze in a little crafting and will be back soon.

Friday 4 March 2011

Thank you cards

Is it Friday already? Where has the week gone??

Today is a little bittersweet. I have been married 16 years today, but it would have also been my Granddad's 90th birthday. He is missed dearly, as is Grandma, who passed away 16 years ago shortly before we got married. Loving memories of both. I must get some pictures scanned into the computer of them both together. We didn't have a home pc back then.

A busy weekend ahead for me. Firstly, a full day of crafting with the entire SU family (well those that can get to Leeds!) and then on Sunday we are off to baby Owen's Christening. Speaking of Christening, did I mention that my Christopher is going to be Godfather to baby Esther? Such a landmark year for him, turning 18, being a Godfather and then off to Uni.

The UPS man came yesterday with all the goodies my lovely ladies ordered at the Open House last week. I decided to make them a little card to show my appreciation of their support and thanks for making it a great afternoon.

Sorry the photo isn't great, hard to get a good picture in night light.

Card Stock: Concord Crush, Poppy Parade and Whisper White
Stamp Set: So Many Thanks
Punch: Scallop Trim Border

Of course the image is coloured in with Stampin Write Markers in Concord Crush
and Poppy Parade.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see my swaps I made and for all the wonderful ones I am sure I will be getting in return.

Thanks for stopping by
