Sale-A-Bration Ends today...

.... and I wanted a couple of friends to say goodbye for the time being. They are a bit shy, but I talked them round and they came out to see you.

:-)

Aren't they cute? Just so you know, I think these little chaps will be making a few more appearances. Just too good to put away on the shelf.

This peek-a-boo idea came from a card candy swap that Karen did for Julie's all day training back in January. I didn't join in card candy then but might just have to for next time.

Come back tomorrow night as I have some fab SU news to share with you. I promise you won't be disappointed.

And don't forget my Card Class on Saturday, 12th March 2011. Would love to see you there.

Well lots to do this week in the way of crafting, so keep checking in and see what I've been up to.

Thanks for stopping by

Open House 26.2.11

Hi everyone. What a fantastic afternoon my Open House turned out to be yesterday. I have to thank my lovely ladies for coming along and making it a very enjoyable afternoon crafting.

We used the fabulous Bliss set (I think this set has earned it's keep!) and Melon Mambo as the main colour.

I adpated it slightly to send on a birthday card to my sister in law for Tuesday.

I think I have a downline in training as Leanne demonstrated how to use the Stampin Scrub, did the drinks orders, dished out the cakes, drew the raffle, then got creative and made her own version of the card. She also requested that she held her own workshop!!
A few more years and who knows :-)

June, a lovely new customer, won the surprise raffle and bagged herself a Punch Bunch Set!
A perfect way of introducing the fabulous products that SU offer.

I also have to thank my wonderful SU Mum Jules for her inspiration and last minute rescue! I think the UPS man is overworked this week delivering all those last minute Sale-A-Bration purchases and didn't get to me on time!

So much happening in the land of SU and team Jems this coming week. Monthly training with the Jems on Tuesday, which I always look forward too (and am always late!) and then there's the SU Training Event in Leeds. So excited, but so panicking as have a lot of swaps to design and make before Friday!!! No pressure then :-o

Finally don't forget my next card class:-

So Many Thanks

Morning all, I'm very excited today. I have a Sale-A-Bration Open House planned for this afternoon and can't wait to get crafting with new friends and old (not that they are old!!)

This is the final weekend of the gorgeous Sale-A-Bration sets (sob sob). They are just divine and I love them.

Do you want to get your hands on one of these sets before they disappear??

Well you only have until Monday, then they are gone - no longer available to order. Don't miss out, email me today.

Do you order 12x12 papers? Do you throw away the extra thick packing sheet at the back? Then STOP!! Don't discard this because look what it can make............

A wonderful gift box. I used the packing sheet and have decorated it up. This box measures
17.5 cm x 15.5 cm and is 3.5 cm deep.

Now this is going to be for one lucky person who comes to my Open House today. I can't show you what's inside - but I guarantee they won't be disappointed!!!!

The box is mat and layered with Basic Black card stock & Love Notes DSP. A bit of Cherry Cobbler to mount the sentiment on, which is coloured in with (yes you guessed it) Stampin Write Markers and no gift would be complete without a bit of bling.

I am, as they say up North, "a bit chuffed" with how this turned out :-) Although hubby was less pleased. I was still crafting away late last night and the bed was nowhere to be seen - I had hid it under my craft stash!!

Right must dash and clean up ready for this afternoon. Will let you know who the lucky winner was and how the day went.

Thanks for stopping by

Bliss Mini Pizza Box

Morning, how is everyone? I can not believe it is Friday - where has the week gone?? I finally got to meet up with the lovely Thursday craft ladies, most I have not seen since the snow began! It was lovely to be back crafting with you.

I awoke early again today, so naturally set about crafting (forget the housework!). Not sure why but I had an urge to make a pizza box. This isn't something I have done before, so had a little trawl of the net for a template/measurements.

I even got a "Julie" bow to work :-)

Inside - just waiting for a co-ordinated card & gift wallet

Colour scheme Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White, with the main image stamped in Sahara Sand and plenty of bling in the form of the self adhesive Rhinestones. I am really pleased with how this has turned out, so much so watch out for co-ordinating wedding card and I might just get a gift wallet in there too!

Don't forget I have an Open House tomorrow, 26th February, at 2pm. It will be your very last chance to earn FREE stamp sets from the wonderful Sale-A-Bration. I shall be very sad to see these disappear after 28th February, but I think they will still be working very hard for me.

Contact me if you would like to know more about the products featured on my blog.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Punch Art

Hi there, how is everyone? What a wet and miserable half term week! I am off this week, although still working a few days from home. Why is it that even though you know you don't have to be up early you are still wide awake at the crack of dawn? This morning was no exception, so I grabbed a cup of tea and got back under the duvet.

I have been browsing our European SU colleagues blogs and came across a lovely little bit of punch art. It makes a really quick and simple card.

My card base is 10.5 cm x 10.5 cm, layered with 10 cm x 10 cm DSP. The petals are punched out using the large oval then curled for effect.

Card Stock: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink & Whisper White
DSP: Brights
Ink: Melon Mambo.
Stamp Set: So Happy for You & Punch Bunch
Punch: Large Oval and 1" Circle

Finished off with a little bit of bling :-)

Well that's my break over with, back to work now.

Thanks for stopping by

Get Well Chris

Morning, a quick post today all about the Chris's!!

I'm taking my Chris today for his university interview. All excited and nervous at the same time. Will let you know how it goes. Fingers and everything crossed!!

Our lovely SU sister Chris is going in to hospital today for surgery. My little get well card, is from a stamp set not often used, nor does it appear much on the blogs, but I love it and need to get it out more. The design is one of Jenny Moors'.

Card Stock: Early Espresso, Whisper White & Pear Pizzaz
Ink: Early Espresso to stamp the image
Stamin Write Markers: Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red
Brights DSP
Punch: Scallop Trim Border

I can not leave today without showing my two youngest Scrapbookers!! I looked after my friends little girl yesterday, Lucy, although Leanne did most of the looking after. She even made an itinery for the day, which included making cookies, brownies, drawing, and of course mummy set them on crafting (although my SU stock did stay upstairs!!)

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by.

Scrap Book - Party This Way

Morning, still a miserable weekend, weather wise that is! Very cloudy and damp today.

The snow kept away yesterday for me to travel up to Julie's for scrapbook class. However, what a surprise at the amount of snow there was in West Yorkshire. Certainly nothing like that down my way.

The theme was birthdays and it was bright and bold. I have this paper stack, but not yet got round to using it, think it will be making an appearance more now.

As Leanne came with me, she chose the colour schemes for both her and Chris and naturally she had to be the first page :-) The photo she chose was from her 7th Birthday where she had a very grown up Hair and Nails Party in a Salon! Chris's are more traditionally birthday parties!

Sorry about the flash reflection, again the light isn't very good this morning.

Leanne's page had to have a bit of bling!!

I used the rub on numbers for the punched stars

Both pages together

My babies will be celebrating their 18th and 10th birthdays this year. Where has it gone?

My blog is under a bit of a transformation at the moment, so sorry that is a little bland. Hopefully it will be all colourful soon.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

In Colours - Sweet Summer

Morning, what a miserable morning it is out there. Do you have snow? We are having a mixture of sleet, then rain, then snow. I hope it doesn't continue as I'm heading up to Julie's this afternoon for a couple of hours scrapbooking.

Today is my niece's birthday and I decided to go with an easel card, using the gorgeous Sale-a-bration set Sweet Summer. The sentiment is from So Happy For You. All the images were created using Stampin Write Markers - I know these are featuring a lot, but I just love them!

Sorry the light was poor, so the pictures are not as clear as I would have liked. The little butterflies and bees were stamped in Chocolate Chip and coloured with Blushing Bride and Daffodil Delight

Card Stock: Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzaz, Concord Crush and Whisper White.
Stamp Sets: Sweet Summer and So Happy for You
Punch: Scallop Border, Large Oval, and Scallop Oval
Ribbon: Old Olive

All of these sets will disappear after 28th February - don't miss out on your chance to earn Free stamps sets. Come join me for my Open House next Saturday.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Some Good News

Sorry no craft post, but I just had to share some news with you. Christopher has made it through to interview stage for one of the Universities he has applied to!! He wants to go into Gaming software and it is a very competitive market, so it is fingers and everything crossed for him.

Where does the time go? It only seemed like yesterday that he started nursery school!!

I am so so proud.

Will keep you updated.

Happy Valentines....

......to all who celebrate. I have to admit to being a non-romantic for this one day of the year. However, when Leanne asked me for the first time to make her a Valentines card, I thought it was kind of cute.

Leanne's instructions were that she wanted a love heart and her friends name on the card. All done freehand in about 1 minute flat!!

Well a busy Valentine's night ahead for me.... I have to write my personal and key objectives for work!! Delightful :-)

With love to all the romantics and thanks for stopping by.

Bliss Card Class

Hi everyone, how is your Saturday?

Mine didn't start too well unfortunately. I had planned a class for today using Artistic Etchings, all was well until I woke and decided to change one of the card layouts. So I set about designing a new one, but was having a few technical difficulties (probably crafter error!) and ended up redesigning the whole session!!!!! I did panic slightly that I wouldn't be ready for 2pm, but no one would have ever have known.

I have to say that I preferred the revamped session. Be warned, lots of photographs to follow.

Firstly here are the ingredients:-

Stamp Set: Bliss (sale-a-bration)
DSP Love Letters
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso
Stampin Write Marker: Crumb Cake
Silver Brads
Spritzer Tool
Sponge Daubers

All of my classes include 1/2 pack DSP, 6 pieces of A4 Card Stock, and accesories (depending upon project)

Project: Card Holder and 4 A6 Cards

Individual Packs:

Cards

This is my favourite

Hard at work!! :-)

Just love how Lisa has used the DSP as an insert, with her own stamped sentiment - think I will be "borrowing" this :-)

Claire's card holder and card

A great afternoon, thank you ladies. Oooh I forgot to take a picture of the Chocolate Cake - mmmmmm it was gorgeous. Well done Lisa for resisting temptation! Two Brides To Be are amongst my lovely Crafters. Lisa on 5.3.11 and Claire on 11.6.11 and Leanne is a bridesmaid on 14.5.11. It was fun to be talking weddings. It is my anniversary on 4.3.11 - 16 years!!!! Where has that gone??

Well I am sure my clock said it was Wine O'clock - I'm off for a well deserved glass.

Thanks ladies for today and thank you for stopping by.

Stampin Write Markers

TGI....... what a busy week it has been and it has gone in the blink of an eye!!

Thought I would show you a bit of colouring in :-) I was asked to make a little girls birthday card. So I picked an image from my stash (which is collecting dust since the arrival of SU in my life!) and coloured in the dress with my fab Stampin Write Markers. I do have to admit to using another brand of markers for the teddy itself.

Now this photo also shows off just how sparkly the Basic Rhinestones are - why they are called Basic I have no idea - they should be called Ultra Sparkly Rhinestones!

Colours: Melon Mambo and Regal Rose
DSP Patterns Stack - Brights Regal Rose
Card Stock: Melon Mambo and Whisper White
Punch: Scallop Oval and Oval Large

Hope you have seen how versatile SU can be and how it mix and matches with other stock hidden away in your stash. The large circles are created using dies for the Cuttlebug.

I have a craft class tomorrow, albeit a small one this time, and will be back with photos of the project. Must go tidy up ready for everyone coming.

Have a fab Friday and thanks for stopping by.

Training Day Part 2

Well I have finally finished the projects from our fab training day on 29.1.11. Two lovely ladies at work have very different reasons to receive a gift and a card. One is celebrating a birthday this week, the other lady is moving on within the Trust to a new post.

Be warned, lots of photos tonight. You may recall my little Xmas Treat Bag from last year. Chris did a fab job on the day with a demo of her handbag version and made everyone a template and cut / scored all the card in advance. The DSP is Lap of Luxury and is just gorgeous.

The Cards

Finally the bags together

I am a little annoyed with myself today. Despite all that tidying up in my craft corner I couldn't find my reel of SU pink ribbon that we got on the day. So I have gone with a pink satin one from my stash.

That's me done for tonight. It's been a busy day decorating and crafting, so now it's time for feet up and Dancing On Ice.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just Believe

ooops nearly another week slipped by without me posting! So much happening lately keeping me very busy. Makes a change from being poorly :-)

I know you may have already viewed these baggie books on my lovely 'sisters' blogs that we made at our training event, but thought I would share it with you too.

These are a fab idea for displaying and sharing the many different creations you can get from one stamp set. The best thing is that it keeps them in tip top condition too.

Finally this the project we did in the afternoon. No stamping involved!

Hope you have enjoyed my very short post - hope to be back soon with some more creations.
